JOB TITLE: Shipping Coordinator REPORTS TO: Warehouse Distribution Manager DIRECT REPORTS: None FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Warehouse Distribution Manager, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the appropriate storage, withdrawal and delivery of incoming orders and materials to Croix Gear. By embodying the core values of our company, the shipping coordinator will ensure proper handling of materials and incoming/outgoing shipments to Croix Gear.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate pallet jackets and forklift to place incoming and in-process materials to assigned areas Complete all required related documentation Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials and supplies Verify items and quantities on packing slips and receive or ship as necessary Package materials and parts in various containers for safe shipment to internal and external customers Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production or sales orders Cycle count inventory as needed Learn and utilize current inventory computer system Sort items according to destination and verify all items match with purchase order Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands Communicates with dispatchers by phone call the coordination of pick up and drop off of non-dedicated carriers of requirements and completed trailers Follow verbal and written work instructions Adhere to quality standards Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience required. Detail oriented and ability to multitask. Demonstrates general mathematical skills and able to use basic hand tools and pneumatic tools. Read and understand work orders. Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly abilities. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills; Able to lead others. Ability to establish priorities effectively to manage time to complete duties with specified time frames.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The majority of the work is on the manufacturing floor.
