Schedule: 1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
Pay Rate: $17 / hour
Job Summary: We are seeking a Material Handler to ensure the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and transportation of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. The Material Handler will support production operations by maintaining proper inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities: Material Handling : Safely load, unload, and transport raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping areas. Inventory Management : Accurately record and maintain inventory levels, perform regular cycle counts, and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor. Receiving and Inspection : Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage or discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation is completed and filed. Storage and Organization : Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly labeled. Production Support : Deliver materials to production lines as needed, ensuring timely and accurate supply to meet production schedules. Safety and Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policies. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory transactions, and any incidents or discrepancies. Collaboration : Work closely with the production, quality control, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Continuous Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize material handling processes.
Job Requirements: MUST be bilingual (English AND Spanish) Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Experience : Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems. Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and handling materials. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Certifications : Forklift certification is a must.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials up to 20 pounds Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Work Environment: The role requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
