LOS LUNAS SCHOOLS CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION & ACCOUNTABILITY POSITION DESCRIPTIONTITLE: Director of Assessment and AccountabilityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New Mexico Educator's License Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university Three years of principal experience AND/OR three years of experience in educational psychometrics and program evaluation Knowledgeable of assessment, curriculum, and instruction requirements Demonstrated leadership ability to work with staff, administrators, and the community Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills Proven track record of improving student learning through effective assessment, data, and program evaluation OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability, the successful applicant will lead or collaborate on all aspects of the district's assessment strategy, including aligned formative, diagnostic, and summative tools. Additionally, the successful applicant will lead the district efforts in program evaluation, data literacy capacity, accountability, and reporting. The director will guide schools in adopting, implementing, and evaluating innovative assessment approaches that result in improved student learning.SALARY AND WORK YEAR: TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year will be in accord with current schedule for 244-day employees.
