Job Description

Allstate's Multi-Asset group manages an active asset allocation process across Allstate's $70 billion portfolio. The process involves collaborating with internal public and private investment teams and leveraging external investment opportunities. Active portfolio management has been a key to Allstate's investment success and has received external recognition.

The Intermediate Analyst role in the Multi-Asset group involves working closely with the team to implement and enhance investment strategies through fundamental and quantitative analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with enhancing the strategic and tactical asset allocation process, including frameworks, market monitors, and regime signals across various asset classes.
  • Evaluate risk opportunities to improve risk-adjusted returns relative to the strategic allocation.
  • Conduct independent research to support decision-making.
  • Support development of tactical trade thesis trackers to inform decisions.
  • Create weekly and quarterly presentations for Capital Allocation Forum meetings.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management Group to understand client mandates and support strategies.
  • Contribute to the investment culture by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Report to the Head of Multi-Asset.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, with quantitative experience in Fixed Income, Equity, or Multi-asset investing preferred.
  • CFA designation or candidacy is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job does not have supervisory duties.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • No certification or license required.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Solid understanding of fixed income and equity asset classes, portfolio construction, and economic cycles.
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in modeling.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, familiarity with Bloomberg.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and ability to collaborate.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $98,000 to $134,750, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will be required to submit to a background check. Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position.
