Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our manufacturing team for 1st shift. This position is responsible for handling incoming shipments, receiving materials into our manufacturing software system, and preparing finished products for outbound shipment. This includes palletizing, packing, and constructing wooden crates as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of parts and materials Accurately enter received items into the companys manufacturing software system Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including palletizing and crate building Construct custom wooden crates for secure transportation of equipment Operate a forklift to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and labeling Ensure the shipping and receiving area is clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards Assist with general material handling and logistics support as required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Forklift operation experience required; current certification or willingness to obtain certification is necessary Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient computer skills and ability to learn and navigate ERP or manufacturing software systems Ability to read and follow computer-generated work orders Familiarity with inventory control procedures and basic shipping documentation Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints is a plus Working Conditions:
Hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing and fabrication environment Requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating forklifts and material handling equipment Standard full-time schedule with occasional overtime based on production demands Compensation and Benefits:
