About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Packaging I. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products are packaged efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all packaging requirements are met and that all products are delivered on time. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a manufacturing environment Forklift certification Experience operating packaging equipment Responsibilities: Blue Room:

Level I Receive and log bulk cheese through the window from the cooler/box room; Remove wax covering from cheese and closely inspect and remove any residual wax from the cheese wheels. Level II plus duties above: Blue Cheese Wheels Wrap five-pound cheese wheels in foil or paper wrap, ensuring it is wrapped in a presentable manner. Place wrapped wheels on table for return to box room to prepare for shipment. Blue Room Smoker: Cleaning the Blue production room smoker before every use SSOP & GMP’S; Loading the correct lot of cheese into the blue production smoker; Monitoring and refilling of wood chips; Changing out the smoker wood/hazelnut shells 3 times daily in a shift; Unloading the blue production smoker of product; Completing the Blue production room smoker Log. Cheddar: Level I Receive bulk 40lb to 45lb cheese through from box room; Sanitize outside of cheddar bag covering; Remove bag covering from cheese and closely inspect. Level II plus duties above: Placing unbagged cheddar block onto cheese harp hydraulic cutter table; Place each cheese cut into a pre-sized plastic bag; Seal each cheese cut individually using the sealing machine and trim off any excess plastic edge that may be left.

Skills: As a Packaging I, you will use your attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure that all products are packaged efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with the production team to meet all packaging requirements and ensure that all products are delivered on time. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform quality checks on all packaged products will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, experience working in a manufacturing environment and operating packaging equipment will be beneficial.
