Your day as a Integration Engineer - Mid Level

As a vital member of our Systems Engineering team at Mission Intelligence Group, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of government financial systems. Your responsibilities will include documenting the current FM architecture while providing engineering thought leadership to design the future-state architecture. You'll collaborate with enterprise engineering teams to enhance processes and introduce systems engineering rigor, ensuring that FM serves as an authoritative source of truth within NGA's Digital Engineering Environment. By leading business process re-engineering activities and modeling workflows, you'll identify opportunities for improvement while supporting FM data governance and risk management.

This position not only offers skill development in systems engineering and business process modeling but also provides unique exposure to senior engineers, architects, and financial managers, all while using state-of-the-art tools like Jira and Confluence. Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • n
  • 6 years of technical experience is required. If that experience is as an Integration Engineer, it may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • n
  • 6 years of working experience in government or industry in data base management or Big Data analysis.
  • n
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
  • n

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Documented work experience and demonstrated knowledge with Systems Engineering Processes (e.g., Requirements, Use Case, CONOPS, and/or Epic development; Risk, Configuration, and/or Schedule Management)
  • n
  • Familiarity with Architecture Artifacts (e.g., DoDAF Architecture Views – Service and System)
  • n
  • Hands-on experience with the NGA RFC process, Jira and Confluence
  • n
  • Knowledge of Government Financial Management systems and workflows
  • n
  • Training, certification, and hands-on experience with SAFe Agile
  • n
  • Basic understanding of Digital Engineering / Model Based System Engineering concepts
  • n
  • Experience with Business Process Engineering and facilitating TEMs
  • n
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and written; detail-oriented
