Top Secret Systems Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Top Secret System Engineer in support of one of are large federal clients in Tampa, FL. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for delivering advanced C5ISR capabilities and for a mix of technical design, integration, testing, and support tasks focused on advanced communications and intelligence systems for Special Operations Forces. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:

Creating and reviewing test plans and reports for Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and PED systems used by Special Operations Forces.

n

Assessing new technologies to support program requirements, R&D efforts, and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) initiatives.

n

Preparing documentation and collect test data to support the Fielding & Deployment Release (F&DR) process for systems used across multiple platforms and domains.

n

Planning and conducting field tests of both new and existing equipment to confirm readiness, verify capabilities, and demonstrate how it supports mission goals.

n

Supporting the transition of projects from development to official programs (Technology Readiness Level 7 and above), working closely with engineering and project teams.

n

Tracking and maintaining records of development efforts, system testing, funding needs, and mission concepts to support program operations and knowledge sharing.

n

Leading R&D projects as the Principal Investigator, guiding technical direction and execution.

Skills and Requirements

n

Bachelors degree in engineering

n

5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer

n

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

n

Technical experience supporting hardware/software programs in defense, space, and/or advanced concept design implementation

n

Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/SIGINT principles and practices

n

Knowledge of Tactical Radios, Electronic Countermeasures, and Tactical Data Systems/ Networking

n

Experience with System Specifications, System Engineering Master Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, etc.

n

Experience with applying systems engineering skillset to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management Knowledge of USSOCOM SIGINT PED programs/projects (gathering and processing Technical side of it)

n

Knowledge of SOF C5ISR systems, organization, and methodologies

n

Model Based Systems Engineering

n

Experience with DoD Research Proposal Writing/Reviewing null
