The Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient function of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, adhering to state regulations. Additional Information:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:15pm
This role is eligible for performance-based bonuses according to company policies.
Due to the nature of the position, which involves contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to sensitive information, a review of criminal history will be necessary for the safety of all staff and the integrity of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety and security protocols, avoiding equipment hazards.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment in assigned areas, reporting hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Understand and apply industrial electrical systems, referencing the National Electrical Code.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify programmable logic controllers independently.
- Accurately read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and use multi-meters effectively.
- Comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Handle troubleshooting and installation of 480V, 240V, 120V AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power wiring.
- Execute major installations and perform general maintenance and repairs.
- Familiarize yourself with all plant machines and equipment to facilitate timely repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment.
- Install conduit for electrical wire relocations on machinery.
- Utilize proper grounding and bonding techniques and perform testing.
- Demonstrate an ability to safely learn about new equipment efficiently.
- Collaborate with vendors to identify parts and troubleshoot machinery issues.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team with production and maintenance staff.
- Assist team members in completing repairs and adjustments promptly and accurately.
- Participate in incident investigations as required.
- Utilize eAM or similar CMMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Word for maintenance documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship in the future.
- Possession of a current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician (PJ) license in your state.
- Minimum three years of experience in repairing automation equipment.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a manufacturing LME.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of electrician vocational school training or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret PLC ladder logic in RSLogix 500 and Studio 5000 for troubleshooting purposes.
