How you will make a difference

As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of patients undergoing treatment for renal failure. Your work will involve direct interaction with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while delivering high-quality dialysis care.

What you'll be doing

Patient Care: You will engage with patients to provide a safe and comfortable dialysis experience. Your responsibilities include monitoring vital signs before and after treatments, initiating and terminating dialysis procedures, and collecting blood samples as directed by the physician.

Technician Duties: Your commitment to quality will shine through as you prepare dialysis machines, perform thorough cleaning and disinfection post-treatment, conduct safety checks, and meticulously log results for quality assurance, all in compliance with established regulations.

Safety and Quality: Implementing appropriate safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment, is essential. Under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state and federal laws. Active participation in staff meetings and ongoing education is required.

The position is located at our Conroe Clinic, 200 S Rivershire Dr, Conroe, TX 77304.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for healthcare and patient care.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, especially in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA, is advantageous.
  • Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate solutions per protocol.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Other requirements:

  • Successful completion of the USRC training program, including competency demonstration, within 8 weeks of hire.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as state regulations dictate.
  • Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire through an accredited program and maintained in good standing.
