Position: Software Asset Management Specialist

The Software Asset Management Specialist will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining software standards and validating product lists within the asset management database.
- Using SAM management tools to manage and audit all software across different environments.
- Assisting technical teams with approval, deployment, updates, and removal of software products.
- Processing software application requests and managing the procurement processes.
- Monitoring schedules for maintenance and software support renewals.
- Coordinating maintenance and renewal requirements through execution.
- Collaborating on Bill of Materials (BOM) development.
- Working with Control Account Managers (CAM) on budgetary requirements.
- Tracking Purchase Requests (PR) for task order renewals and enterprise contracts.
- Functioning as a liaison between renewal managers and buyers during procurement.
- Communicating priorities and urgent matters with the Procurement team.
- Supporting the renewal manager with vendor inquiries regarding quotes.
- Tracking PRs through the approval process to purchase order award.
- Ensuring proper receipt of materials with requesters and buyers.
- Assisting in resolving issues with order receipts.
Successful candidates will:
- Exhibit strong professional communication skills to facilitate efficient information flow and task execution within the team.

Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles.
- Knowledge of software titles and their functionalities in the IT sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes.
This position is expected to offer an annual salary between $70,000 - $87,000 , depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
