Position Summary: The Wellness Associate plays a crucial role in delivering personalized care according to each Resident's Service Plan, reporting directly to the Wellness Director and Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor Residents' health and report any changes to the Wellness Director immediately.
- Maintain an inventory of medical supplies, assisting with orders as needed.
- Coordinate shift coverage during unforeseen absences.
- Support new Wellness Associates during their orientation and onboarding.
- Respond promptly to Resident emergencies, providing first-aid and facilitating medical follow-up.
- Help maintain clean and orderly living spaces for Residents.
- Attend to Resident needs by responding to calls for assistance swiftly.
- Assist with meal selection and service as assigned.
- Engage in activity programs and maintain records in accordance with policy.
- Complete a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education annually.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all emergency procedures and safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and report changes in Resident health status.
Qualifications:
- Current State Nurse's Aide registration.
- Experience and passion for working with seniors.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Maintain positive relationships with Residents, families, and staff.
- In good physical and emotional health, free from communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, reach, push and pull, lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
