In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.
To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Engineering team in Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the role of an Integration and Test Engineer who supports upcoming Government Test events.
In this role, you will work with cross-disciplinary team of engineers who are leading the industry in ground systems solutions. This individual will be a member of a team that represents the face of Raytheon to the government in support of government-led test events for a fielded satellite ground system.
Responsibilities include supporting various government-led enterprise mission events, working on assigned tasks from the backlog, documenting and triaging issues, and participating in program increment planning and retrospectives to continuously improve after each program increment.
Reporting to the Team Lead who oversees and provides daily directions to the team.
Executing tasks from the teams backlog during each program increment.
Troubleshooting, creating discrepancy reports, and collecting logs to help resolve system issues.
Supporting various customer-led mission test events.
Regularly interacting with the End-User by managing and nurturing the business relationship, managing expectations vs. scope of contract, proactively addressing emerging needs, and identifying results.
Working independently, determining, and developing approaches to solutions.
Willingness to travel in support of offsite testing and meetings.
Working in an Agile program environment.
Working in a classified lab on site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and at customer sites.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience, or a Masters degree in STEM.
- Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations). Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment.
- Experience preparing and executing Integration and Test procedures.
- Experience troubleshooting, creating discrepancy reports, and collecting logs to help resolve software system issues. Experience with systems engineering principles and activities.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience with Test Automation experience (Cucumber or Gherkin).
- Experience with Raytheon EclipseTM or Raytheon EquinoxTM, Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Oracle databases, Experience with Python and XML, Experience with Linux operating systems.
