We operate under the brands Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Indoor Cycling Group and SCIFIT.Job Purpose:This position is primarily responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic test equipment, test fixtures and cables used for production acceptance testing of commercial and consumer fitness equipment. Production acceptance testing includes board level and final assembly equipment.Essential Job Functions:Construct and maintain test equipment at company's facilities.Debug, verify, calibrate, and repair test equipment using oscilloscope, DMM, and other measurement equipment.Interface with Test Operators/Line Supervisors on the final assembly manufacturing line regarding test equipment issues & electronic issues.Install test equipment on the manufacturing line.Interface with Test Engineers regarding the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of electronic test equipment.Perform testing of electronic assemblies using computer-controlled automated test equipment.Collect and evaluate test result data. Set up and perform tests on a variety of electronic equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills Needed:RequiredWorking knowledge of electronic theory, principles, and testing procedures.Working knowledge with electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.Ability to read engineering wiring drawings and electrical schematics.Proficient with hand tools and fabrication equipment.Proficient with soldering PCB assemblies and fabrication of wire harnesses.Proficient with electronic assembly troubleshooting skills.Working knowledge of following written test procedures.Working knowledge of computer-controlled automated test equipment.Hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition experience.Quality oriented with attention to detail in the construction and maintenance of test equipment.Proficient in using Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills to maintain records, provide data, and support problem resolution.High School Diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.0-2 years' experience in a similar role.Preferred2-year technical degree3+ years of related experienceExperience using electronic test equipmentWorking Conditions:Will be working primarily on production floor. Requires lifting of 35 lbs. occasionally, hand/eye coordination, ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to walk, bend over, and turn consistently and repeatedly. May involve repetitive motion. At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $43,800 - $61,300 annually.This role is categorized as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Owatonna, MN and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's Production Bonus Plan, which offers the potential to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics.
