Job Title: Business Analyst - MES Modernization Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Project Overview: This role is part of the Delivery of Automated Systems for Healthcare (DASH) Program, which manages the MES Modernization effort. The program focuses on reengineering core business functions and integrating modern technologies to support managed care, enhance service delivery, and meet evolving state and federal healthcare mandates. Role Summary: The Business Analyst will act as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and IT, facilitating smooth communication, translating requirements, and guiding the successful implementation of business-driven solutions within the MES modernization effort. Key Responsibilities: Analyze current business operations and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Support the development and integration of MMIS modules with a focus on cross-functional collaboration. Conduct business process redesign sessions and document workflows. Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure accurate system implementation. Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and integration meetings across departments. Lead business integration efforts and monitor progress via key performance indicators (KPIs). Coordinate across projects to align objectives and timelines. Educate internal teams on Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) principles. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare. 3+ years of experience with State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery. Expertise in cross-functional project operations. Strong familiarity with MITA business architecture and standard healthcare data formats (e.g., EDI). Excellent communication and documentation skills-able to interface with stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving mindset and a detail-oriented approach. Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scale business and technology integration. Knowledge of federal certification requirements for Medicaid systems. Background in project management. Previous involvement with commercial and government healthcare integrations.
