Summary:
The Senior Data Engineer is a key contributor responsible for modeling complex problems, developing pipelines, maintaining ETL processes, and troubleshooting issues within a cloud environment. In this role, they utilize cloud databases, Databricks, and other technologies to support a robust infrastructure that drives large, revenue-generating data strategies. The Senior Data Engineer plays a crucial part in suggesting architecture ideas, collaborating with architects, and assisting junior engineers with their tasks and approaches.
Responsibilities: Participate in use case feasibility discussions and translate business ideas/problems into use cases. Provide support to maintain and update models running in the production environment. Develop and maintain complex ETL processes and algorithms. Own and enhance ETL processes to move data from PMS to cloud databases. Monitor and troubleshoot processes on a daily basis. Document new and existing processes. Proactively identify performance issues and recommend enhancements. Modernize legacy data models and pipelines using ETL tools and cloud database capabilities. Collaborate with the Chief Architect to make improvements and larger architectural changes. Recommend or suggest improvements to the existing architecture. Support junior team members with technical questions, code reviews, and code enhancements. Understand business problems/needs and provide proposed solutions. Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
6+ years of data analysis experience. Expertise in algorithm design, machine learning, and applied statistics. Proven track record in SQL, specifically in cloud databases, and working with data. Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively with people of various backgrounds and education levels. Strong communication skills to timely and effectively convey information and consult with others. Responsible, trustworthy, and ethical behavior in decision-making. Proficient written communication skills with attention to proper grammar, spelling, and document formatting. Adaptability in problem-solving, evaluating tasks from multiple perspectives, and finding creative solutions. Timely completion of assigned job tasks. Preparation for meetings and presentations with follow-up to ensure task fulfillment. Commitment to achieving the company's core business objectives. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting. Problem-solving experience in ambiguous situations. Thorough experience with Databricks, Glue, Talend, Informatica, or similar ETL tools. Cloud database experience (Redshift, BigQuery). Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and technical skills. Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and adaptability. Proven ability to work effectively in a team. Passion for data and attention to detail. Ability to take calculated risks based on data-driven analytics. Self-starter with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. BENEFITS
