JOBSUMMARY Thisposition is responsible for the coordination of ITS client services for anassigned branch campus.

MAJOR DUTIES

Coordinates daily information technology operations and maintenance for the campus. Works with end-users and desktop support technicians to identify and delivery required PC services, training, and support to end users; installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products. Coordinates activities with third-party support and equipment vendors. Receives and responds to incoming calls and email. Recruits, trains, schedules, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates and disciplines personnel. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Recommends, schedules, and performs PC, hardware, and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs. Performs all moves, adds, and changes the campus telephone system. Leads the automation, installation, and testing of customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems. Supports the development and supervises the implementation of new computer projects and new hardware and software installations. Must be able to maintain regular assistance Performs related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

Knowledge of systems design and development principles. Knowledge of information processing principles and practices. Knowledge of systems software, protocols and standards. Knowledge of project planning and management principles. Skill in the provision of customer services. Skill in the training and supervision of personnel. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication.

SUPERVISORYCONTROLS

The Client Services Director assigns work in terms of generalinstructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures,accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.

GUIDELINES

Guidelines include OSHA regulations, the service catalog,and department policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment,selection and interpretation in application.

COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK

The work consists of varied duties in the coordination of campus IT client services. The need to respond to unforeseen problems contributes to the complexity of the position. The purpose of this position is to coordinate client services for an assigned university campus. Success in this position contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of a variety of campus functions.

CONTACTS

Contacts are typically with co-workers, other university personnel, faculty, staff, students, vendors, and members of the general public. Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, or to provide services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects and climbs ladders. The work is typically performed in an office.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENTRESPONSIBILITY

Thisposition has direct supervision over assigned personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of two years of college coursework or an Associate's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, having had a similar position for two to four years. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference for degree in a related field.Experience may be substituted for formal training.

Annual salary $36,084.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
