Job Description: System Test Automation Engineer (SDET) Education:
Bachelor's or master's in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Summary: We're seeking a System Test Automation Engineer (SDET) with strong Python development skills and experience in test automation on Linux platforms. The candidate will design and implement robust automation frameworks, contribute to the software testing lifecycle (STLC), and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated test scripts using
Python
on a
BDD
framework. Maintain and enhance complex Python-based test frameworks. Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies. Conduct regression, functional, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track bugs; work with development to resolve issues. Perform code coverage analysis and recommend improvements using embedded and GUI tools. Participate in CI/CD workflows. Maintain clear documentation of test plans, procedures, and results.
Required Skills:
3-7+ years of hands-on automation testing experience. Advanced Python programming skills. Experience working in
Linux
environments (Rocky Linux 8.8+ preferred). Experience with
embedded systems
and
C++ code
review. Familiarity with test automation tools:
Squish ,
Squish Coco ,
Selenium ,
JUnit ,
TestNG ,
Cypress , etc. Prior experience in
medical device
software testing is highly preferred. Strong understanding of the
STLC
and QA best practices. CI/CD experience with tools like
Jenkins
and
GitLab . Bug tracking using
Jira .
Nice to Have:
Experience with
performance testing tools : JMeter, LoadRunner. Exposure to
National Instruments (NI) PXI Systems . API testing experience with
Postman ,
SoapUI , etc. Familiarity with
Agile
methodologies.
