POSITION OVERVIEW
There is a job opening for a Master Data Technician, in the Maintenance and Reliability Department at the Pensacola site. The base work schedule is 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime required. After-hours availability may also be required.
TARGETED OUTCOMES
Ensure the creation and maintenance of accurate, complete, and standardized equipment and maintenance-related master data in SAP. Maintain asset hierarchies, PM task lists, BOMs, material masters, and other key master data components critical for efficient maintenance execution. Identify and correct data quality issues, such as duplicate records, incorrect entries, or gaps in asset or maintenance documentation. Support maintenance and reliability teams by providing accurate data that enables effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate records for equipment, functional locations, BOMs, maintenance plans, and materials in the SAP system. Ensure consistency in naming conventions, classifications, and data structures according to corporate standards. Partner with Maintenance Planners, Reliability Engineers, and Supply Chain to verify data requirements and ensure alignment across systems. Audit and cleanse master data regularly, correcting discrepancies and archiving obsolete or retired records. Assist in the development and management of standard job plans and task lists, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are properly linked Analyze work order history and asset performance to identify missing or inaccurate data and initiate corrective updates. Support capital project closeouts by integrating new equipment and maintenance documentation into the CMMS. Maintain documentation for master data processes and ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards. Assist Maintenance Planners with part description accuracy, material cleanup efforts, and BOM optimization. Create, edit, and troubleshoot SAP maintenance PM plans and processes. (will require an understanding of the planning process to create task list.) Understand the requisitioning process and how to manage Maintain SAP Functional location structure Enter annual blanket requisitions Will be the back up to the site Maintenance Scheduler. Print weekly maintenance schedules Print weekly outage schedules TEAM
Reports to: Maintenance Planning Supervisor Team: Maintenance Planners/Schedulers REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of
3 to 5 years
working with asset and maintenance master data in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience with
SAP . Solid understanding of maintenance and asset management workflows. Familiarity with the Management-of-Change (MOC) process and maintenance compliance requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS
Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills for effective use of the SAP maintenance program, PC web-based data entry, the Microsoft® suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) programs, and other applications Able to make necessary changes to SAP Equipment and Functional Location records. Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, schematics, and manuals. Understanding of SAP master data transactions Ability to support Purchasing and Stores processes by ensuring proper material and part descriptions are maintained.
