As a Client Service Representative (CSR), you are the first point of contact for pet owners. You'll help coordinate care, schedule appointments, answer phones, and guide clients through their visits. You'll also support our hospital pharmacy in filling and dispensing prescriptions under the direct supervision of licensed veterinarians. Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and patients warmly in a professional, friendly manner Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communications Maintain accurate electronic medical records using veterinary practice software Explain treatment plans, billing, and services clearly and compassionately Provide emotional support to clients during both routine and emergency visits Handle client check-in and check-out, invoicing, and payment processing Assist in processing and preparing prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian (DVM) Accurately label, fill, and dispense medications following all safety protocols Maintain proper documentation, inventory, and storage of medications Communicate medication instructions as directed by the veterinarian Support compliance with veterinary pharmacy regulations and guidelines What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or medical office setting Prior work as a veterinary receptionist, client care coordinator, or front desk associate Excellent verbal and written communication skills Calm, compassionate demeanor with strong emotional intelligence Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred Weekend availability required Note: This is not an entry-level veterinary position. Applicants must have prior experience in a client-facing role in the veterinary or healthcare field. Bonus skills (preferred but not required): Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., Cornerstone, AVImark, ezyVet) Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and pet care procedures Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask in emergency situations.
