Airworthiness Manager - Level 5

Seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manager to lead our Marietta Airworthiness team, responsible for ensuring the airworthiness certification, flight clearances, and continued airworthiness of various aircraft programs, including AMMM (C-5, C-130, P-3) and Marietta ADP. The successful candidate will also serve as the Head of Airworthiness Support Group (HSG) Lead for European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMAR) projects. What You Will Be Doing Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of 13 employees in achieving airworthiness certification, flight clearances, and continued airworthiness for assigned programs Develop and implement airworthiness strategies, plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve government certification for flight test, production, and sustainment Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Lockheed Martin program offices, customer airworthiness authorities, and functional teams (e.g., Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, Chief Engineer Office, TechPubs, Production, Contracts, and Flight Line) Ensure alignment of Lockheed Martin proposals, contractual requirements, and airworthiness processes with customer requirements Manage team performance, including staffing, training, development, and performance management Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve submittals in support of flight clearance milestones Operate autonomously as needed, while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders This position will report directly to the Airworthiness Senior Manager. Who You Are The ideal candidate is a collaborative and experienced systems engineer with strong leadership skills, able to lead a team through all phases of development on an ADP program. You should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with leadership on both the customer and supplier side.
