Prep and paint various pieces of OEM and refurbished heavy equipment to specified standards. Roles and Responsibilities: Prep and paint Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products Prep and paint refurbished and repaired equipment Apply paint or other finishes to paint surface using an automotive spray gun generally. Apply paint or other finishes to paint surface with a roller or brush as needed. Attention to detail and aesthetics Must be able to grind, sand and apply bondo if needed. Must be able to wear Tyvek coveralls and full face respirator while painting in non-air conditioned paint building. On feet most of the day. Must be able to keep inventory and order paint/paint products as needed. Responsible for the general cleanliness and organization of the paint shop and surrounding area. Responsible for maintaining all EPA records as they relate to the Paint Shop Operate a forklift and other light mobile equipment as needed. Fill in as a yard laborer as needed. Responsible of the safety of one's self as well as others. Work overtime, weekends and holidays as required. Perform the physical requirements of walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting over 50 lbs. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to complete all aspects of job in a professional and timely manner Supervision Received and Given: Painter reports directly to the Operations Manager Superintendent. Painter is responsible for the final craftsmanship and quality of paint coatings. Decision Making: Must be able to inspect final products and communicate any issues with Operations Manager. Qualifications and Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two years' experience with automotive spray gun or related minimum. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Familiar with construction related equipment, preferred. Skills: Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent workmanship with automotive spray gun. Ability to communicate with others effectively. Ability to work in a collaborative manner with multiple team members Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Ability to operate forklifts and man lift Equal Opportunity Employer
