It is the responsibility of the LVT to give responsible and compassionate care to all GCVS patients. They are responsible for monitoring and treating patients and keeping detailed records during hospitalization. An LVT must have good communication skills with the doctors, CSTs, VAs, and other LVTs to perform the work as delegated and produce quality results. Cleaning and stocking of all common areas is a daily activity required to maintain the standard level of care at GCVS. This position requires a dependable, high-energy person who can handle multiple tasks at one time, as well as a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Compensation

$19-$22/hr, depending on experience Schedule

Full Time Monday- Friday Rotating Saturdays Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness (laundry, dishes, restocking, patient walks) Provide clerical support (phones, documentation, data entry) Assist with patient triage, transport, and appointments Monitor vitals, intake/output, and patient alerts Administer treatments (meds, oxygen, fluids, wound care) Place and maintain catheters (IV, urinary, central) Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, feces) Support anesthesia (induction, monitoring, recovery) Prepare and clean equipment for procedures Collaborate with team and attend required meetings Skills & Knowledge

Perform TPRs, BP, SpO2, EKGs, and assist with CRIs and TPN Calculate dosages and drip rates Administer meds via various routes Assist with advanced procedures and CPR Proficient in EMR, phone systems, and clinic workflows Knowledge of common veterinary drugs and protocols Strong communication and teamwork skills Qualifications and Skills Sought

High School diploma is required, Associate's degree (A.A.) in animal technology or Bachelor's is preferred Current technical certification (RVT, CVT, LVT) Strong interpersonal and client communication skills with a passion for assisting others. Exceptional multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented with a positive attitude. Preferably knowledgeable in veterinary practices, pharmacology, medical terminology, and clinic procedures. Expertise in client service principles, including needs evaluation, quality standards, and client satisfaction. Proficient in administrative tasks such as word processing, file management, transcription, and email communication, as well as using computer programs for managing patient information. Familiarity with common drugs, their uses, brand/generic names, side effects, and controlled substance protocols. Skilled in social perceptiveness and adaptability to others' reactions to enhance client interactions. Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus! Why You'll Love This Role at GCVS
