Job Title

This role builds processes and procedures for the Ammonia Plant, Wastewater Plant, and other Plant utilities, ensuring compliance in GMP's, RAGAGEP, and food manufacturing facilities best practices. This person is reliability-minded in the commissioning, maintaining, and repairing of Plant assets, helps drive Best Practices maintenance approaches, and is familiar with or has been exposed to continuous improvement and 5S programs and policies. Promotes strong team cohesiveness, and a collaborative mindset within and outside the department. They enthusiastically help build and apply Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques and processes. Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Capabilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The successful candidate: Adheres to all Daily's Premium Meats safety policies/procedures and hold others accountable. Works with the Maintenance Manager to collaborate with the MRO team for repairs and replacements of Plant assets, including facility systems and equipment. Assists the Maintenance Manager in performing administrative tasks, planning and work-flow analysis, and ensures weekly and daily reports and checklists are turned in timely and accurately. Improves Facilities Team productivity and quality through hands-on supervisory direction of Facilities Technicians. Responsible for providing long-term solutions and day-to-day leadership and management for maintenance employees, leading problem analysis, time/project management, and working with the Planner/Scheduler on job planning and KPI's. Experienced in the direction and instruction of Facility teams, provides feedback to employees, including communicating any changes in policies or procedures as needed. Ensures all new hires are trained properly and existing employees perform their jobs safely, correctly, and with the highest level of quality and ability, and coordinates all new employee activities and training related to the shift. Possesses mechanical, electrical, ammonia, wastewater and Process Safety Management experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in food/meat production. Is a competent troubleshooter and is tenacious in equipment repairto limit downtime. Takes ownership of their own personal growth and professional development by soliciting feedback, getting involved in departmental/plant initiatives and projects, and developing a career plan. Coaches and mentors others, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, and addresses complaints to resolve problems. Creates and nurtures relationships with internal and external customers, vendors, and contractors. Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance capacity. Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial refrigeration, and competent in those systems, processes, and compliance requirements. Food or meat processing plant experience is preferred, as well as thorough knowledge of, and compliance with, GMP, RAGAGEP, and food manufacturing best practices. Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems and work order processes; able to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues. PC literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, and CMMS programs. Good planning and priority-setting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must. Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision-making, empowerment and delegation). Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals in the English language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred. Reasoning Ability

Ability to estimate the labor required to perform maintenance tasks, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written, and verbal form. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must perform their responsibilities in situations that are physically demanding, tight fitting, wide temperature ranging, and noisy. Will spend approximately 70% / 30% floor time to office time. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use ladders, scissor and aerial lifts, and climb stairs. Work Environment

When performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions in both inside and outside environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes very loud. Space temperatures may range from below freezing to triple digits. Normal Work Schedule

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the direction of management. Backup
