Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a

Telecommunications Project Manager

with our large power and utilities client in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay:

$60.17 - $68.17/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description: We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fiber aspects of various projects within our organization. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on transmission, generation, real estate, and regional IT enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Manage approximately 60 open projects concurrently, ensuring efficient progression and timely completion Maintain comprehensive documentation of all business communications using JIRA Collaborate with internal telecom and field teams to meet project deadlines Provide concise weekly stakeholder updates on project status Attend on-site customer kickoff meetings within Duke Energy Florida territory Develop expertise in Duke Energy's environment and telecom products Partner with product owners to ensure project success and address challenges

Required Qualifications:

Substantial project management experience (beyond entry-level) Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Commitment to attend in-office staff meetings every Tuesday morning In-office presence three days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday required) Proficiency in managing and reporting project budgets Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in telecommunications, especially fiber Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, JIRA, Primavera/P6, and Business Objects Extensive experience in conducting and participating in meetings, with strong note-taking abilities Excellent verbal communication skills Familiarity with fiber optics (construction and single-mode terminations) Experience with FDOT, Joint Use coordination, and USIC locates Knowledge of permitting processes and right-of-way management
