I&E Technician
This position will provide operational support, troubleshooting, and process optimization on natural gas pipelines, NGL pipelines and associated compressor stations. Position Responsibilities Maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical equipment including VFDs, switchgear, transformers, power supply battery backup systems, pumps, motors, and various instrumentation. Specify and procure equipment according to the application requirements in terms of power supply, flow, temperature, pressure, area classification, etc. Perform loops checks and calibration of field instrumentation. Maintain and troubleshoot circuits and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC. Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment including, but not limited to pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment. Prepare equipment for maintenance by electrically clearing motors, switchgear, etc. and conducting LOTO procedures per Company policies. Read and understand P&ID drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical schematics and technical operational manuals. Serve as the I&E Lead on small capital projects and oversee work performed by 3rd party contractors. Work effectively with Turbine Technicians, Automation Control Specialist, Operations, Engineers, and others to conduct maintenance and repair activities, as well installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities. Assist with instrumentation and electrical equipment training. Comply with safety and environmental practices in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Attend safety trainings, maintain required certifications to perform job duties, set example of high safety standards and assist in regulatory inspections. Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans. Occasional travel, including overnight visits, to other compressor locations will be required. Requirements General pipeline knowledge and working experience with medium voltage equipment up to 480 VAC. Working knowledge of National Electric Codes Technical Degree/Associates Degree in Instrumentation, Electronic Communications or Industrial Electronics, or equivalent 2+ years in instrument control, automation, and electrical maintenance / project commissioning in the oil & gas industry Must have communication experience with cellular, satellite, Modbus and SCADA. Must possess valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements. Maintain compliance with WWM's drug and alcohol program. Knowledge of Pipeline & Terminal business processes and equipment such as mainline motors and engines, pipeline flow measurement equipment, and tank level measurement equipment preferred. Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies. Ability to work in changing climate conditions and capable of working in tight spaces, climbing to and working from elevated platforms, ladders, walkways, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with a team and take direction from supervisors, fluency in English is required. Allen Bradley, Scadapack, etc. Experience with electrical voltages up to 4160VAC. Journeyman or Master Electrician license. This position is Full-Time located in Midland, Texas.
