This is a full-time onsite role in San Antonio, TX., or Falls Church, VA. This is a W-2 opportunity with a 3-year duration.

Position Summary

Supports the DHA FE Government Lead in designing and developing web-based and

SharePoint solutions that may use data sources or include applications that access general

user data. Assists the DHA FE Government Lead with user management, site management,

and the expertise to leverage collaborative tools, applications, and software suites available to

support DHA FE KM goals. Works at the direction of the Government Lead with customers and

teams to develop knowledge assessments and supporting solutions using SharePoint

technologies and other collaborative tools within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for designing and developing Modern SharePoint Online artifacts, including web parts, custom fields, custom lists, views, content types, sites and sub-sites, lists, libraries, customizations, including custom branding, navigation, search, with C#, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, HTML and CSS and Visual Studio Code Interfaces with customers at all levels of the enterprise to gather requirements; advises and translates requirements into web-based or SharePoint design solutions or applications; and proposes solutions to Government Leadership for approval. Coordinate data migrations, form, site and content creation and changes, including integration with other systems Participate in requirements gathering, technical design sessions, peer reviews, unit, and integration testing. Ability to troubleshoot and track end-user issues and requests. Provides information, documentation, analysis, and ad hoc support or training for DHA FE leadership and staff, enabling them to understand and take advantage of technologies that will benefit the organization. Work with IT business analysts, subject matter experts, and government stakeholders to solicit and analyze business requirements and desired results. Assists in developing collaboration tools SharePoint built-in functions. Maps workflow processes and build functions within SharePoint site to gain efficiencies in horizontal and vertical communications. Maintains a system status report which tracks system issues, current action items and requests for system changes in functionality. Crafts and fine tunes the user interface (UI) of developed websites and continually improve user experience (UX). Ensures products work across platforms and devices using cross compatibility tools. Be aware of the out of Box tools available to SharePoint developers. Customizes DHA FE SharePoint and/or equivalent sites' templates and develop new templates as needed. Builds workflow and collaboration applications using various (DHA) SharePoint sites. Assists the Government lead with development of a trouble ticket system to receive customer/stakeholder inquiries. Manages the trouble ticket system to include processing, tracking, and closing trouble tickets, creating performance metric reports, and updating documentation as requested. Enforce site standards, including security policies, to ensure the governance policies and processes are maintained. Provides responsive design solutions to help build optimal user experience. Continually improves, updates, and maintains existing web pages. Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members and leadership to ensure the implementation of their ideas. Implements feedback from other designers and team members to improve design. Communicates continually with the senior team to understand requirements of a project and to make sure that the work done meets such requirements. Participates in various design projects from concept to completion. Knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices to develop, implement, and maintain systems and services, assess the effectiveness of current systems and services, evaluate the feasibility of new systems and services, and provide advice and guidance on complex issues. Ability to show experience implementing solutions using SharePoint content types, lists, columns, web parts, features, page layouts, managed metadata keywords and other enterprise management features to provide collaboration solutions. Ability to show experience using InfoPath and SharePoint designer to develop workflows and data view web parts. Excellent knowledge of SharePoint data migration using built-in or 3rd party tools e.g., Metalogix Content Matrix. Experience developing PowerShell scripts as needed Knowledge of higher echelon and DHA IT standards, policies, and procedures to advise users, carry out projects and ensure compliance with IT standards. Works with the Government Lead to design, code, test, debug, and document web applications that meet project requirements. Partner and collaborate with other application developers to meet project goals. Recognize and understand the use of design patterns at an advanced level. Education, Experience, and Technical Skills

Required Education and Experience

5 years' experience SharePoint client-side development experience using JavaScript frameworks/libraries and other relevant front-end web technologies. 5 years' experience of HTML, CSS, XSLT, and Master Pages to manipulate look and feel of SharePoint sites and deliver a user-friendly experience to the client. 5 years' Experience in SharePoint technologies regarding Database interaction and control, SharePoint administration, and file structure/control, to include but not limited to metadata controls, record center management, workflow management, IM/KM policy development and enforcement, user/group management, site and document library management, widget management and design, and site customizations, database backend/frontend design and management. Extensive experience using InfoPath and SharePoint Designer to develop workflows and data view web parts. Required Skill

This position operates in a professional office setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and photocopiers. The work environment is generally quiet and free from exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery. Employees are typically seated for extended periods and may occasionally move about the office to attend meetings or access equipment and supplies.

Carrying/Lifting:

This role requires lifting up to 20lbs to transport technological office equipment to and from various workspaces.
