Qualifications: Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years experience working with Active Directory, Windows Server, Virtualization, Backup Systems, or Office 365. Five (5) years of combined experience working with Active Directory, Backup Systems, or Office 365. Five (5) years experience in Virtualization.

Licenses or Certifications:

One (1) Certification from Microsoft, Nutanix, or VMware within six (6) months of hire or promotion. Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

Installs new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Performs basic server administration including security, file and directory permissions, additions/changes/deletions of user accounts. Maintains and supports a multi-domain Active Directory structure. Provide technical assistance to IT technician staff when needed. Provides support for user requests and resolves various software and hardware issues relating to email, printing, rights, remote access software, etc.

Leave Time

Block of hours which incorporates sick and vacation. Accrues at 16.67 hours per month for an annual total of 5 weeks (200 hours). Accrual increases to 20.00 hours per month after 6 years of service and continues at a yearly increase after 10 years of service.

City recognizes 11 holidays which include: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
