The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring that all products and materials meet our rigorous quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement, problem-solving, and supplier development. for the implementation and adherence to the Global Purchasing Controls for the Miami, Hialeah and Kentucky site operations. This position reports to the Manager of Supplier Quality and is part of the Manufacturing Quality Team located in Miami and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Quality Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Compliance and Standards: Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies related to supplier quality. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier files including: performance, audits, onboarding, quality metrics, supplier changes, supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and ensuring accuracy and availability for internal and external reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, incoming inspection and production teams to align supplier capabilities with company needs. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Degree would be ideal Minimum of 5 Year experience working in an engineering environment, preferably a regulated environment Experience communicating with internal and external customers Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Work, etc.) and working with databases Problem solver while continually improving and innovating Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier site visits It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Sheet metal parts design and fabrication process.
