Test Automation Senior Software Engineer

As a Test Automation Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks of cloud-native payment applications. This role is ideal for mid-career test engineers who want to remain hands-on while mentoring and guiding full-time and contract engineers. You will work closely with developers, product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions that power digital payments, including ACH and RTP. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Design, develop, and implement scalable, reusable, and reliable automation frameworks for UI and API testing. 2. Develop and execute automated test suites for payment processing systems and related integrations. 3. Collaborate with software engineers to ensure test coverage for new features and bug fixes. 4. Perform code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation readiness. 5. Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices. 6. Maintain and enhance existing automation infrastructure to support evolving product requirements. 7. Analyze test results, triage issues and work with development team to ensure timely resolution. 8. Contribute to test strategy, documentation and reporting of automation metrics and test coverage. Qualifications Required Qualifications

In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices 3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function 4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices 5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information Preferred Qualifications 1. Master's degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 2. Experience with testing payment platforms or financial systems 3. Experience of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) 4. Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) 5. Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Other Job Requirements / Working Conditions Sitting Constantly (More than 50% of the time) Standing Frequently (25% - 50% of the time) Walking Frequently (25% - 50% of the time) Visual / Audio / Speaking Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone. Availability Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
