A Customer Process Engineer serves as a critical technical liaison between TE Connectivity and its customers, ensuring that TE's interconnect products are effectively integrated into our customers' manufacturing environment. Job Requirements
Develops expertise in how TE products are applied inside the Customer's manufacturing processes. Translates learnings to TE product design teams, assisting with crafting TE Application Spec documents. Collaborates early and aligns with customers on TE's final Application Spec. Conducts sign-off review between TE and Customer for NPI products. Works with TE engineering to integrate customer application parameters into TE product and application specifications. Conducts joint design reviews between TE and customers during product development cycles to ensure product specifications are properly defined (Design Objectives). Create application notes, training materials (internal and external), or documentation to help customers understand how to use TE products. Provides product application training. Assists customers with Test methodologies to test TE products. Ensures TE test methodologies are consistent with the Customer's. Provides onsite support during multiple NPI stages by Assessing / collaborating with customer manufacturing teams during the product design phase. BS in Mechanical Engineering required, 6-10 years of experience
design/field Experience with the processing of PC Boards Preference for pick and place, Surface Mount Technology Understanding of cables and harnesses Experience visiting customer sites for startups and issues with components Problem-Solving skills Customer Interfacing experience Prefer bi-lingual (English, Spanish) Location remote
prefer Austin / Dallas (Texas) Experience with design reviews, tolerance analysis, and root cause problem-solving (Six Sigma a plus) Travel requirements - Must be able to travel within Mexico and the US. Competencies
