Environmental Deputy Office Lead (Remediation)

for our team in Kenova, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will have technical and project management expertise related to oil/gas and remediation projects. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impactful environmental projects and grow into an even larger leadership role within one of the most prestigious engineering firms in the world. Key Responsibilities: Project Management:

Lead and manage remediation, environmental assessment, and oil & gas projects from initiation to completion. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Technical Expertise:

Apply technical knowledge to address environmental challenges in remediation, groundwater contamination, soil treatment, waste management, and environmental compliance for oil and gas facilities, refineries, and industrial sites.

Client Relations:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Ensure excellent customer service and timely communication regarding project updates, risks, and outcomes.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay up to date with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure all projects are compliant with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Office Leadership:

Manage and lead a team of professionals within the local office. Provide mentorship, training, and career development support to junior engineers, geologists, and project staff.

Business Development:

Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development, contract negotiations, and client presentations.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Valid driver's license, and a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and any other assessments such as Medical surveillance.

Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of relevant technical and project management experience related to environmental remediation, oil and gas projects, or refinery operations,

Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license

Extensive knowledge of environmental remediation techniques (soil, groundwater, sediment) and regulatory requirements (RCRA, CERCLA, state and local laws).

Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams and budgets.

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
