Plant Engineering Technician

As a Plant Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Provide equipment, facilities, and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and systems including but not limited to CNC, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, process control, programming, HVAC, FAPES, facilities, grounds, IT, and telecom. Complete emergency, planned, and preventative maintenance duties, work orders, and projects as assigned. Assist with CNC machine tool equipment installations, calibrations, metrology, and relocations. Perform Designated Representative duties for internal 3M engineers and outside vendors and contractors. Demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills, confidence in using Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and maintenance management systems. To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Possess an associate's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a Robotic, Multi-craft, and/or CNC discipline Interested and available to work a Second Shift (afternoons) Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Four years of experience in a related technical field in a private, public, government, or military environment Emphasis on CNC and Control Systems related maintenance Boiler operator license Work weekends and overtime as needed Work location: Staples, MN Travel: No travel Relocation Assistance: Not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). The starting rate of pay for this position is $30,16, with the potential to reach $43,08. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
