As soon as possible PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To integrate and manage servers and enterprise applications into the district's network environment. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's license Preference for applicants with Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Certification Preference for applicants with Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate Preference for applicants with Microsoft Azure Certification Preference for applicants with Microsoft Certified: Windows Servers Preference for applicants with CompTIA Server+ Preference for applicants with ITIL Foundation SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Proficiency in administering and managing server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux distributions Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for creating and managing virtual machines Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, routing, and firewall configuration Strong scripting skills, especially in PowerShell or other scripting languages, to automate routine tasks and streamline administrative processes Knowledge of server hardware components and the ability to troubleshoot hardware-related issues Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds for real-time performance monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning Experience with MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) for configuration management, software deployment, and updates Proficient in managing and maintaining Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain services Skill in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and configuration management Knowledge of on-premise email systems (e.g., Microsoft Exchange) and cloud-based email solutions (e.g., Office 365) Administration and optimization of Office 365 services, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Teams Understanding of security best practices, including the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning to ensure data integrity and availability Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve server-related issues efficiently SQL/MySQL database administration Manages contractors and consultants on a per-project basis EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years' experience working as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer Experience selecting and installing server hardware/software Experience working with InTune and Azure Directory services Experience managing Microsoft Exchange and O365 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Constructing, updating, and maintaining all of the district servers, both physical and virtual MECM management (installing software and updates on windows devices) Configure and monitor Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance security measures Power management for all district Windows machines (scheduled start up and shutdown) Integrating SSO and MFA systems into K12 environment New computer deployments Manage email system, SPAM filter, Altaro, Veeams, Avamar backups for all district servers Testing of software packages Perform other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
