My client, a respected and well-established general contractor with a strong presence across Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their preconstruction team in Minneapolis. Job Description: Lead the preparation and submission of hard bids from $10M to $100M as a senior estimator Analyze bid documents including drawings, specifications, soils reports, and front-end requirements Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates across all CSI divisions Develop and maintain relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers Conduct subcontractor scoping, pricing analysis, and buyout recommendations Coordinate closely with project management, operations, and executives to ensure aligned bid strategies Stay current on market trends, construction methods, and material pricing Represent the company in pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations when required MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant: 7-10 years of estimating experience with a general contractor Deep understanding of building and construction subcontractor markets in: Minneapolis, Waconia, Edina, Chaska, St Louis Park Proven experience managing hard bids in the $10M-$100M range Ability to independently review, interpret, and analyze bid documents Strong scoping and buyout skills with an ability to negotiate effectively Resides in or within a 1-hour commute to downtown Minneapolis What's on Offer: Competitive Senior Estimator salary range of $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience Car allowance and mileage reimbursement Comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid vacation and holidays Stable, long-term project backlog with a collaborative team environment Opportunity to make a strategic impact in a growing preconstruction department
