Job Summary The Senior DevOps/Software Engineer will be part of Adtran’s Developer Experience (DX) team, focusing on streamlining developer efficiency and satisfaction. The role requires expertise in DevOps, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Docker, virtualization, developer tooling, and Linux environments. Support involves communication via email, local visits (no travel), chats, and screen sharing. Leadership in exploring new projects, solving complex problems, and mentoring others is essential. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins. Support developers by debugging pipeline failures and developing custom pipelines. Create advanced pipelines for troubleshooting and stability improvements. Migrate legacy systems to Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory. Create and maintain GitHub tools and applications for repository management and statistics. Develop and maintain Docker images for build systems and tooling. Implement DevSecOps practices for secure infrastructure and software supply chains. Developer Tooling & Environment Maintain Linux developer environments and support Ubuntu servers. Develop tooling in Python and Bash to simplify workflows and generate reports. Leverage AI-based tools to accelerate development processes. Build & Release Engineering Support C/C++ and Python build systems with traceability and automation. Mentorship & Leadership Mentor junior engineers and lead technical training. Support developers across multiple domains daily. Skills & Qualifications CI/CD: Jenkins; VCS/SCM: Git, GitHub; Virtualization: WSL, Hyper-V, QEMU/KVM; OS: Ubuntu & Windows; Containerization: Docker, Podman; Storage: Artifactory; Programming: Python, Bash, C/C++; Monitoring: PostgreSQL, Grafana, Elasticsearch; Networking knowledge. Soft Skills Problem-solving, communication, collaboration, leadership, initiative, adaptability. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (required); Master’s preferred. 5-10 years of professional experience.
