Description
Summary: The Community Living Services (CLS) Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the CLS program, ensuring high-quality, person-centered support for individuals served. This includes developing and implementing program policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supervising staff, managing budgets, and maintaining high standards of support for participants through established program goals and objectives. The CLS program encompasses both Independent Living Services (ILS) and Supported Living Services (SLS), ensuring individuals receive the appropriate support to live as independently as possible in their communities. Essential Functions*: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Community Living Services program, which includes both Independent Living Services (ILS) and Supported Living Services (SLS). Develop, implement, and monitor program policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and standards per the ILS and SLS program designs and Regional Center contracts. Develop program goals and implement strategic plans to enhance program effectiveness and achieve desired outcomes, aligned with the organization’s mission and vision. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture. Ensure that services are tailored to meet the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each person supported. Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of participant progress and outcomes. Ensure high standards of care and support are provided to participants, aligned with the philosophies of supported and independent living. Advocate for the needs and rights of program participants and support their participation in the decision-making process. Develop and manage the program budgets. Organize and monitor the intake and continuing assessment process. Ensure financial sustainability of the programs. Monitor expenditures and financial performance. Implement quality assurance and improvement processes. Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of services. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including regional centers, other service providers, healthcare professionals, and advocacy organizations. Represent the program at community meetings and events. *Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without accommodations. Applying allows you to be considered. Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field. Experience: Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working in the Human Services field, preferably in services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), with indications of increasing levels of responsibility. Four years of experience in supervision and support of program staff. Experience delivering services with a person-centered approach, ensuring care and support are tailored to individual needs. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Preferred Education and Experience: Education: Master’s degree preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification. Completion of person-centered thinking/planning training. Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in the role of program director or department head in support of individuals with IDD. 1-2 years' experience in providing either Independent Living Services or Supported Living Services.
