Michigan multi-disciplined firm has an opening for a Project Engineer for their growing Detroit office!
Responsibilities:
Lead team in preparation of project drawings, calculations and specifications
Prepare analysis, design, calculations, reports, site visits and permit applications
Provide construction assistance
Evaluate land use/zoning requirements
Assist with preparation of proposals and estimates for potential projects
Mentor/train junior staff
Requirements: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
5+ years of engineering experience
PE License
Experience with unique design/permitting requirements working within the City of Detroit or a similar urban context
Technical experience in mixed-use urban infill, sustainable design and stormwater best management practice
Knowledge of the City of Detroit and surrounding area preferred
Proficient in Civil 3D, SWMM and Excel
Salary is commensurate with experience.
