The Business Operations and Costing Analyst is responsible for supporting the President and business toward executing the business initiatives of the company, including but not limited to cost accounting for manufactured parts, enhancement and support of operational and administrative processes. This key role supports the President in bridging office administration with production, sales support, ERP and reporting. The role is critical to ensure timely, accurate processing of business activities, operations management (customer orders, manufacturing orders, inventory transactions), and financial reports.

*Key Duties & Responsibilities *

· Analyze the cost of manufactured parts, identify triggers that will help enhance margin, recommend changes to the manufacturing process to the President. Recommend make v. buy strategy

· Provide routine and ad hoc analysis to all aspects of the business.

· Assist the President and the business by providing necessary analysis and reporting related to various aspects of the business including but not limited to vendor, customer, costing, accounting and manufacturing.

· Assist and lead various efficiency projects pertaining to all aspects of the business and steel group.

· Be a backup for all inner-office functions and recommend improvements that maximize the efficiency of the office responsibilities.

· Become proficient in the ERP system and act as a leader in any future ERP conversion.

· Assist with all items relating to inventory including but not limited to cycle counts, excess and obsolescence and safety stock.

*Education*

· Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance or other quantitative degree.

*Experience*

· 4+ years cost or financial accounting and/or operations experience preferably in a manufacturing environment but acceptable experience in a supply chain or distribution environment.

· Experience working with ERP systems required (Infor XA a strong plus).

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (filtering, lookups, formatting reports).

· Familiarity with sales support, inventory control, purchasing, and accounting processes.

· Period closing procedures, support financial audits, AR/AP functions.

· High attention to detail and organizational skills for tracking multiple ongoing activities.

· Act with a sense of urgency and have a strong desire to exceed deadlines and expectations.

· Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (BOMs, routings, order types).

· Solid communication skills for interacting across all departments and personnel.

· Able to work with confidential financial information and confidential projects as directed by the President.

· Resourceful and proactive, able to identify and recommend policy and process issues.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross functional teams of peers with the ability to influence others as needed.

· Ability to prioritize and manage time in a work environment and keep on schedule with projects

· Must be proficient MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams)

· Valid Drivers License

· Ability to pass a health, background and credit screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
