Job DescriptionWe are searching for team members who are passionate about challenging and exciting work for the good of every patient! This position is full time, days. The shift is Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, varying start times from 5am-9am, with call rotating for one week at a time for all after hours including Saturday and Sunday, at Arnett Hospital.Under the direction of a physician, operation manager and with supervision of CT or MR, and Nuclear Medicine section team leaders, performs diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and operation of PET/CT or PET/MR equipment for image acquisition and radiopharmaceutical distribution through organs, body functions and analyze biologic specimens. Performs diagnostic CT or MR and fusion of PET/CT or PET/MR images for physician interpretation. Treats patients with care and respect.Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine, RT (NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB): CNMT.Requires advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, (NMTCB) within 18 months of hire, if working in PET CT.Requires advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance, RT(MR); or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) within 18 months of hire, if working in PET MR.Requires experience as a technologist working in Nuclear Medicine and as a registered CT or MR technologist, as appropriate per modality.Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.Requires knowledge of PACS/RIS for training and problem resolution.Requires knowledge of anatomy; physiology; mathematics; chemistry; physics; biology; radiation safety; clinical nuclear instrumentation; computer operation and laboratory techniques.Requires an excellent working knowledge of PET and CT or MR procedures, as appropriate per modality; the appropriate imaging protocols to be followed and in-vivo procedures.Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process.Requires an excellent working knowledge of imaging equipment and proper quality control criteria for each type of instrument being used.Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.#LI-OnsiteAbout Us Indiana University Health has nearly 40,000 team members, including more than 3,600 physicians and 1,200 advanced practice providers, and we're home to the largest nursing network in Indiana with more than 9,000 nursing team members at over 800 sites of care.
