New Job Opportunity: Technical Project Manager Bay Area, CA Company Description: Our client is a leading provider of satellite communication solutions, dedicated to delivering innovative and reliable products that meet the evolving needs of their customers. Job Description: Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) within the PMO office in their Engineering department. You will be responsible for planning and executing all project deliverables for programs in the technology center. You will be part of a PMO with several other Project Managers and you will work with a project team of around ten members and the typical projects value varies from 1-4 Mio USD and runs for 12-18 months. You will report to the PMO Director and interface with a wide range of stakeholders within our organization. Responsibilities: We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who can drive results by setting directions, driving decisions, managing execution, identifying, and resolving challenges before they turn into problems. Milestones, schedules, cost management and risk analysis are your go-to tools in this effort, and you can adjust and maintain overview when priorities change. On a day-to-day basis, you will support your project team in their daily efforts to solve technical challenges on time. You will be overall responsible for the entire project, in close collaboration with the Program Director and Product Management. Limited fully expensed travel will be required as part of the role to visit suppliers in the USA as needed. As a TPM, your key responsibilities will be: Direct, motivate and provide leadership for the project team. Organize, coordinate, and direct the project activities. Manage risks and issues proactively. Ensure effective and open communication throughout the project team and with stakeholders. Deliver project to agreed time, cost, and quality parameters. Qualifications: Holds either a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering. 8-12 years experience with complex project management involving mechanical. Electronics hardware, firmware, and software components. Is hands-on in participating and leading design reviews, BOMs and block diagrams Some experience in regulatory requirements and process demands and knows what it takes to deliver on both short and especially long-term goals. Strong knowledge of the functional disciplines and supply chain that require management. Knowledge and demonstrable experience of PPM techniques.
