The News Design Team is looking for an outstanding interface designer for all our platforms, including desktop, web, and iOS apps. The designer will be responsible for designing new user experiences. The candidate should be able to help build new features and behaviors that align with product goals while serving the intention of the users. This person will adapt their designs to the realities of both internal and external systems, and will strive to create Apple-caliber solutions for these customers, shepherding designs from conceptualization, through iteration, to pixel-perfect implementation.

Responsibilities include: crafting detailed interaction and pixel specs; preparing assets for various platforms such as engineering implementation and Keynote presentations; maintaining up-to-date files and consistent naming conventions; ensuring design consistency across all assets and products. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to work closely with other designers, engineering, editorial, product teams, and to present to executive sponsors. The ideal candidate will understand Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic deeply. Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of product design experience Strong command of visual and communication design principles Meticulous attention to detail Deep systems thinking ability to optimize complex information architecture Preferred Qualifications
Creative and resourceful Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change Enjoys improving existing patterns and innovating for new features and use cases At Apple, base pay ranges from $147,400 to $272,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits like medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and potential bonuses or relocation support.
