We are seeking a
Sr. Indirect Procurement Buyer
for our
First Quality Products Company
located in
McElhattan, PA.
This position is primarily independently responsible for optimizing the overall cost of supplies and services, developing supply base and supply chain strategies, while negotiating pricing, terms and agreements that are strategic and specific to FQ. This role has a greater responsibility and accountability then buyers, including people management responsibilities.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals. Perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying procurement knowledge. Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and department initiatives. Lead cross-functional teams. Identifies and communicates process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned team. Monitor requisition line counts to determine buyer workload. Collaborates and interacts effectively across internal business lines and teams, as part of a steady state for continuous improvement opportunities. Work closely with Operations to support ongoing cost savings initiatives and plant projects. Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to buyers, developing and implementing best practices. Assign goals and monitor performance. Presents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standard of ethical business practices at all times. Develop a supplier performance tool focusing on delivery, price, quality and implement improvements strategies as necessary to ensure quality and reliability. Sustains open communication with suppliers and prepares purchase orders in line with final negotiations with preferred suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements. Drive Value creation and high-level cost savings initiatives (FTG), while maintaining quality and efficiencies. Create trending data year over year, comparing supplier spend while analyzing short and long term changes that may impact overall supplier performance against FQ goals. Analyze market trends, and develop supply chain strategies while mitigating any risks. Support Supplier Assessments and reporting of key aspects. Develop rating system. Work closely with Parts Teams, establishing stocking programs, inventory goals, and order quantities that result to best pricing. Travel to other sites as required Education and experience requirements:
Business / Supply Chain degree or related field work experience. Advanced MS Office Suite skills to include Excel, Word, Power Point, along with working knowledge of SAP Ariba, Celonis, and QlikView, Power BI. Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; with strong expertise in all areas of Indirect Procurement. Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others. Results driven with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines. Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities. Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure while leading a team and keeping them engaged and motivated, while embracing change. Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers. Work Environment:
Hybrid work schedule with three days on-site at designated manufacturing facility. Modifications to this schedule are possible to align with business goals. This position would work at a designated location based on site support requirements.
