Action Staffing Solutions is seeking Lead Pharmacy Technicians for one of our Government clients. The position involves providing on-site services from Monday to Friday, except for recognized US holidays or facility closures due to emergencies, administrative closings, or Government-directed facility/installation closings. The shift available: 1st shift: 6:30AM through 3:00PMThe duties for this position include:Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas.Orient new contract pharmacy technicians and assist with the evaluating performance. Prepares, packages, labels and dispenses medications as prescribed by physician, and maintains related records for patientsMaintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, stocks automated devices, and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticalsOperates various types of pharmacy automation, including, but not limited to, Autofill devices; Baker Cells; Kalish cells, A-frames; repackaging equipment; electronic scalesCleans and performs minor adjustments and preventative maintenance to equipmentMust be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous wasteApplicants for this role must have the following qualifications and experience:High School diploma or GED.Certified Technicians (CPhT) must hold and maintain a valid certification from the National Pharmacy Certification Board (PTCB). Some positions may require certification.6+ months of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital or retail setting.Effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing).Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required.Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack.Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and lift repetitively.Understanding of necessary precautions when handling hazardous medications, materials, and hazardous waste.Demonstrated inter-personal skills to effectively interact with peers;Demonstrated experience leading a group or project that would indicate the ability to manage and supervise others.Demonstrated experience in administrative/records management to assist with maintaining required records on staff background investigations, training and reporting.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.This is a full-time position based on a contract. Pay: $28.40 to $33.72 per hour, depending on experience and certification.
