This Cardiology Locum Tenens position includes Non-Invasive, Invasive and Interventional Cardiology, located in San Antonio, TX. Location: San Antonio, TexasDuration: July 7, 2025 and ongoing until permanent is hiredReason for coverage: Added support due to increased volume.Schedule: 2-4 weeks per month, Monday-Friday, 8a-5p + rotating weekends and night callCall: 1:4 rotating weekends and night callScope: 50% outpatient, 50% inpatient, 60% noninvasive, 30% invasive, 10% interventionalVolume: 20 patients per day in clinic, 40 patients per day in hospital shared with an additional cardiologist. Per Physician per day: About 7 noninvasive procedures per day, 5 invasive procedures, 4 interventionalProcedures required: Echocardiography, TEE, Nuclear cardiology, PA Catheter placement, IABP, Cardiac Catheterization, Heart Biopsy, Angioplasty, Intracoronary Stent Placement, Atherectomy.EMR: EPICHospital: 268 beds, 40 ICU beds, Cath lab onsite, surgical back up.Group/support: 4 RNs, 1 LVN, 6 MAsRequirements (boards, license): Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Cardiology, Clean background and malpractice for temporary privileges, EPIC experience required.Rates: TBDClient selling points: Provider that has ongoing availability from July -December and will commit long term.
