LMI Overview LMI is seeking a skilled mid to senior level Backend Software Developer to support a client in the Washington, DC metro area. Responsibilities Work directly with architects, software developers, engineers, and data analysts to expand an existing framework of our core modeling and simulation (M&S) software. Experience with Python and Java is essential; knowledge of Gitlab CI/CD processes is a plus. Collaborate with front-end developers using node.js and TypeScript. Build and scale micro-service-based architecture on cloud solutions supporting collaborative simulations and analysis for the warfighter and other government sectors. Engage in rapid development, code expansion, and breaking down complex systems into simple services. Participate in agile sprint ceremonies and demonstrate developments to customers. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 7+ years of experience or master’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Proven experience in an agile environment, with the ability to develop both collaboratively and independently. Ability to work across disciplines and give/take feedback. Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects from start to finish. Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph. Experience with Java, Python, and TypeScript (at least 5 years each). Desired Qualifications Experience with simulation software.
