Job Title: Audio Visual Specialist Location: Onsite ( 15407 McGinty Rd West, Wayzata, MN 55391) Department: IT / AV Support Employment Type: Contract to Hire Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Specialist to manage and support our video conferencing platforms, AV equipment, and virtual collaboration systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth delivery of virtual meetings, webinars, hybrid events, and live streams, while providing technical support, training, and proactive maintenance for our AV infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot video conferencing systems (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, etc.). Coordinate and provide technical support for virtual, hybrid, and live events across multiple time zones. Ensure high-quality audio, video, and content sharing during conferences and presentations. Provide live event support with immediate troubleshooting of technical issues. Maintain, configure, and update AV hardware and software (conference room systems, microphones, cameras, control panels, codecs). Manage and support video infrastructure platforms (e.g., Poly Clariti Manager, Clariti Core). Train staff and end users on best practices for using AV and conferencing tools. Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams to optimize AV setups and improve user experience. Document system configurations, SOPs, and recurring issues for efficient operations. Research and recommend new AV tools, upgrades, and technologies to enhance capabilities. Qualifications Required: 3+ years of experience in video conferencing, AV/IT support, or AV/IT integration. Strong proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or similar platforms. Solid knowledge of AV hardware (microphones, cameras, codecs, control systems). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments. Preferred: Professional AV/IT certifications (CTS, Zoom Certified, Microsoft Teams Administrator). Experience with live streaming platforms (e.g., Teams Live Event).
