Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition SummaryOperate Amada® and Safan Darley® press brakes and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, and forming of metal products as instructed by supervisors. In addition, produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEstablish and operate sheet metal equipment under minimal supervision to fabricate as well as form products as per engineering drawings and parametersPerform loading and unloading of material by changing tools and select required machine programsInspect and maintain press breaking operative equipment's for conformance with safety requirementsEnsure to correct issues related to safety before performing operationsPrioritize production runs to assure customer orders are concluded on time. Maximize machine run time plus productivityWork from live schedule, verbal and written instruction, bills of material, routing, samples, blueprints, and control plansOperate fabricator, begin machine, and supervise displays plus machine operation to identify malfunctionSet up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipmentMaintain and manage as well as tooling cleanliness and in good physical shapeInspects all manufactured parts following work in process inspection methods and ensure to accomplish engineering specificationsResolve quality as well as mechanical problems and repair minor issues along with equipment adjustments as requiredWork in a fast-paced environment with fast changing prioritiesProvide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given taskConsistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the engineered drawingsPerform other duties as assigned RequirementsPositive attitude and respect fellow employeesAbility to perform well as a teamSelf-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate needs of your teamSafety minded when performing taskAbility and willingness to learn and be trainedOutstanding attention to detailMust be able to work 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am; To meet the needs of the customer's occasional overtime may be required. The company will try and give as much notice as possible.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent2+ years set-up and operating experience, preferably with Amada® HFB-FBD or Safan Darley® equipmentSolid background working with sheet metalKnowledge of tooling and tool maintenanceProven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal and metric conversion skillsAbility to read blueprintsAbility to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel and stainless SteelAbility to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirementsAbility to read a tape measure and caliperWork EnvironmentSafety is our top priority to minimize risk.
