Structural Project Manager (in-office)
Applicants should be purpose-driven and indicate a strong interest in developing leadership skills.
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
Project
- Executes and/or manages the team's structural engineering tasks for each project
- Leads the development of structural drawings, Revit models and reports, and insures that the project team is correctly applying building code provisions and interpreting material design standards
- Maintains awareness of the production schedule for assigned projects
- Reviews completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy and completeness
- Performs and/or manages the team's administration tasks during the construction of projects
- Manages communications with other disciplines and project team members to ensure overall project coordination
- Participates in team and company-wide meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines, and technical issues
- Performs work in a manner that demonstrates an appreciation for the firm's cultural values, including a commitment to quality, innovation, learning and respect for co-workers and colleagues
- Skilled in fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
- Fosters awareness of the firm's principles of providing outstanding professional service to our clients
- Demonstrates strong interest in sustainability in the construction industry
- Develops and manages project budgets in conjunction with leadership
- Fosters an understanding of the financial implications of overhead and chargeable time
- Fosters awareness of the importance of growing and maintaining client relationships and other business development activities
- Accredited BS or MS degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
- Active Professional Engineering license (Texas preferred)
- Proficiency with structural analysis software, such as Bentley, Adapt and Enercalc
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Experience with Revit preferred but not required
- Ability and desire to train and mentor EIT's and other engineers
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve and collaborate on innovative solutions
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality Travel to out-of-town projects or meetings may be
