We're looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our crew supporting the U.S. Postal Service's Package Sorting Technology Group. In this role, you'll design and develop mechanical systems, turn concepts into precise 3D models and 2D drawings, and solve real engineering puzzles like end-of-life part replacements and system enhancements.

What You'll Do
- Take redlined "From-To" drawings and turn them into production-ready designs.
- Solve engineering problems-whether that's upgrading equipment, replacing obsolete parts, or improving system efficiency.
- Create, refine, and finalize 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components.
- Apply GD&T to ensure every design is accurate and consistent.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to keep package sorting and material handling systems running smoothly.
- Document your work and present your findings using MS Office tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) plus 5+ years of experience.
- Strong skills in solid modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar).
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with package sorting systems or material handling equipment is a plus.
- Mostly Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm (occasional weekends).
- Less than 10% travel.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test. Sensitive clearance may take 4-6 weeks to obtain. Can not start work until cleared. Reciprocity of DoD clearances may reduce wait times by 2-3 weeks.
